“There is a tide in the affairs of men
Which, taken at the flood, leads on to fortune;
Omitted, all the voyage of their life
Is bound in shallows and in miseries.“
Trying to meet the challenges of the present is by no means easy but, as Shakespeare suggested, perhaps it has always been so, and giving up is not a sensible option.
As you know, I find a ‘voice’ and a purpose via my photography. The images are not simply records of things I see; they are my imaginative responses to all that I see or feel is there. Sharing of the images is a huge privilege. I don’t pretend I am providing answers to everything, or indeed anything that is going on, but responding to what I see and feel does provide some comfort.
Within that context much of my work at the moment explores the concept of individual identity and is a response to what that looks like in the ever-changing reality.
Currently being worked on by Liv who created and updates the website for me, the new images will be on the site soon. For those who cannot wait some of the creations are already featured on 500px.
